What is a Sister City?
A Sister City relationship is a broad-based, long-term partnership between communities in different countries. Activities include a wide range of cultural, economic and personal enrichment opportunities. Friendship cities are less formal with a more limited scope of activities.
About Sister City International
Sister Cities International (SCI) was created at President Eisenhower’s 1956 White House summit on citizen diplomacy. SCI is a 501(c)(3) nonpartisan nonprofit network that fosters bonds between people from different communities.
